Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
Availability Required: Open availability — with preference for Swing and Grave shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Position Overview
The Security Operations Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing daily security operations across events, client sites, and technology systems within the Greater Bay Area. This role requires a high level of operational awareness, strong computer and technology skills, and the ability to manage major events, security deployments, and the technology used throughout the operation.
The Security Operations Manager also plays an important role in recruiting, including participating in interviews, hiring support, event staffing, and onboarding coordination. This is a hands-on, in-person position requiring full open availability, with a strong preference for swing and graveyard coverage to support event operations and field needs.
This role also collaborates closely with other Operations Managers to ensure continuity, quality control, staffing support, and operational consistency across all accounts and event assignments.

Key Responsibilities
- Security Operations, Events & Technology Oversight
- Oversee deployment and performance of field staff at events and client sites.
- Manage all security operations for major events, large-scale deployments, and multi-venue assignments.
- Conduct routine inspections, site visits, and field audits.
- Ensure operational readiness of technology systems, including guard tour systems, incident reporting platforms, GPS tracking, radios, tablets, cameras, and other security devices.
- Support the setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of event-related technology.
Maintain oversight of post orders, SOP compliance, and site readiness documentation.
Staffing, Scheduling & Payroll
- Support and assist with scheduling across all accounts to ensure shift coverage.
- Participate in interviews and hiring decisions, especially for event staffing needs.
- Collaborate with the Recruiting Department during mass hiring initiatives.
- Coordinate payroll processing and manage timekeeping records.
Monitor and manage overtime to align with budget expectations.
Employee Relations & Team Leadership
- Supervise security supervisors and officers at assigned accounts and events.
- Conduct coaching, counseling, and corrective action when needed.
- Resolve staff issues promptly.
Support positive morale, accountability, and communication.
Client Relations & Communication
- Assist as a point of contact for clients at both event and site locations.
- Conduct check-ins with clients to assess service quality and identify needs.
Support planning and coordination for special events, emergency response, and technology-driven assignments.
Technology, Computer Skills & Administrative Tools
- Maintain strong proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Demonstrate high-level computer literacy for scheduling platforms, incident reporting systems, and event technology.
- Prepare internal and client-facing reports including incident summaries, inspection results, and compliance updates.
Ensure equipment, technology, and communication devices are fully functional for each event.
Qualifications
- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Valid California Guard Card (required or must be obtained)
- California BSIS Firearm Permit (preferred but not required)
Valid CA Driver's License with a clean driving record (required)
Experience
- Current or recent role as a Security Operations Manager or equivalent leadership position.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing non-exempt employees in security, military, or law enforcement.
- Prior leadership experience managing event security or multi-site operations.
- Experience managing technology-driven security operations (cameras, tablets, tracking systems, reporting platforms).
Experience supporting recruiting or interview processes preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work fast-paced, high-volume events and assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
- Highly organized with strong follow-through.
- Advanced computer literacy, especially in Google Workspace.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond quickly during events.
Strong conflict resolution and staff management capabilities.
Physical Requirements
- Open availability required, with preference for swing and graveyard shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- Must be able to travel throughout the Bay Area for events, inspections, and meetings.
