Therapeutic Educator-Full Time
Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is a one-of-a-kind rehabilitation and community re-entry facility in Lake Katrine, NY (near Kingston, NY), specializing in Acquired Brain Injury, Neurobehavioral Disorders, Complex Medical Recovery, Ventilator Care and Ventilator Weaning. We are the largest brain injury treatment program in the world, a facility where talented people are given the opportunity to use their special skills, be creative and sometimes push the envelope.
Responsibilities: Responsible for teaching and helping to develop a curriculum focused on disability and wellness education, cognitive and social skills development, pre-vocational skills, lifestyle management, and related areas.
Requirements: A Master's Degree in human services is preferred. A bachelor's degree or equivalent, is required, for example, in education, neuroscience, philosophy, psychology, sociology, speech, or theology. Compassion, high energy, an outgoing personality with great people skills, creativity, organization, and professionalism. Must exhibit mastery of English. Bi-lingual a plus.
Compensation: Rate will be commensurate with experience.
