Vector Electromagnetics, LLC has an in-person accounting manager in our Wilmington, OH office. Vector EM is a small defense contracting agency focusing on high powered microwave antennas, radomes, and multifunctional composites. Candidates must be entrepreneurial self-starters who can work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have experience with government contracts, strong accounting fundamentals, and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with Deltek software is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting, procurement, inventory, shipping and receiving

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts

  • Support project accounting, indirect cost allocations, and contract billing

  • Prepare and submit invoices in accordance with federal contract requirements

  • Assist with compliance reporting and audit preparation (e.g., DCAA readiness)

  • Track and maintain financial records in Deltek accounting software

  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations

  • Collaborate with contracts and program teams on financial data and reporting

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records and documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 1–2 years of professional accounting experience

  • Strong understanding of GAAP

  • U.S. citizenship (required due to federal contract work)

  • Ability to work on-site daily at our Wilmington, OH office

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills

  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Deltek (e.g., Costpoint or similar)

  • Exposure to government contracting, FAR/DFARS, or DCAA compliance

  • Understanding of indirect rate structures or cost-plus contracts

  • Prior experience with contract billing or government invoicing systems (e.g., WAWF)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $125,000.00 per year
