Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the company's outgoing financial transactions. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments while maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
  • Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and expense reimbursements
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain vendor records and manage vendor communications
  • Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting
  • Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Monitor and enforce company policies related to procurement and payment

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
