Description

Directs operations of a programmatic function. Operates with a high degree of independence. Responsible for program development, content and administration. Establishes program objectives, manages programmatic fiscal activities, supervises staff engaged in carrying out program activities and may require grant writing and/or other ability to secure program funding. Prepares various reports for program.

This position supports the operations of academic and administrative functions within the Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs in the School of Health Professions. Operates with a high degree of independence and is responsible for program development, system oversight, and process administration. Establishes objectives for academic data management and reporting, oversees tools that support internal workflows and documentation, and coordinates faculty-related committees and procedural support. Serves as a primary liaison for fiscal monitoring and financial reviews at the program level, collaborates across departments to ensure procedural consistency, and conducts audits for quality assurance. Supports onboarding of new faculty and program directors, facilitating their integration into academic and administrative systems. Prepares reports and documentation to support program operations and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees Academic Data Systems and Reporting Tools - Directs the maintenance and enhancement of academic data systems within the School of Health Professions, including course catalogs, scheduling platforms, student feedback mechanisms, and accreditation databases.

  2. Manages Internal Digital Workspaces and Staff Training - Leads the development and administration of internal digital tools used for document management, workflow coordination, and communication. Provides training and guidance to staff, ensuring efficient use of systems that support academic and administrative functions.

  3. Coordinates Academic Committee Operations and Documentation - Administers support for key academic committees such as the Faculty Affairs Committee (FAC) and Academic Affairs Committee (AAC). Oversees documentation, virtual workspaces, and processes related to promotion and tenure, faculty evaluations, program inventories, and internal databases. Ensures alignment with academic policies.

  4. Monitors Program Budgets and Financial Compliance - Serves as the primary liaison between program leadership and financial teams to manage program-level budgets. Provides input to support financial planning of new programs.

  5. Ensures Operational Consistency and Quality Control -Collaborates with staff overseeing clinical affiliations, instructional support, compliance, and committee administration. Develops and audits workflows to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to institutional standards. Leads initiatives to improve operational efficiency across programmatic functions.

  6. Assists with Onboarding for Faculty and New Program Directors - Directs onboarding processes for new faculty and program directors, collaborating with relevant departments to ensure smooth transitions. Establishes clear understanding of academic and administrative workflows, fostering integration into program operations.

  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary range: $60,835 - $95,000

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
