Description:

The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist provides fundamental technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, cardiac and physiologic patient monitoring and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for assisting the physician with safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Is a patient/family educator, advocate and liaison. Estimated pay range for this position is $ $60.47 / hour depending on experience.

Degrees:

  • Bachelors.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • CCI Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist.
  • CCI Certified Cardiographic Technician.
  • Basic Life Support.
  • CCI Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.

Additional Qualifications:

  • May substitute Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field and 3 years of invasive experience with a minimum of 4 years of total experience and advanced certification: RCIS or RCES.
  • Cardiovascular or Cardiopulmonary Technologist (CVT) from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or a graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing).
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI) Certification if a graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology.
  • Member of a professional cardiovascular organization.
  • Completion of at least eighteen (18) CEU's annually.
  • Twelve (12) CEU's must be CV related.
  • Academic courses relevant to the profession taken through a regionally accredited university or college can count for 16 CE credits for each academic semester credit or 12 CE credits for each academic quarter credit.
