Our ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of freight brokerage and operations, knowledge in vetting and booking carriers. This position is in-person, Monday to Friday.Responsibilities:Perform freight services according to company and government regulations.Create, coordinate, and manage pick-up and delivery schedules, coordinating with shippers, carriers, dispatchers, and customers.Monitor all routes and schedule backhauls with same trucks to utilize max. cost of the daily route.Track and report shipment status of loads.Properly vet carriers to securely broker freight.Coordinate logistics for projects coming from multiple customer sites and vendors.Develop and maintain strong relationships with multiple carriers.Maintain accurate records of all activity, ensuring freight paperwork is complete and approved prior to transportation.Resolve freight discrepancies and keep relevant parties apprised.Respond to customer concerns and queries in a timely, professional manner.Must-have Qualifications:Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a freight and transportation logistics and operations-oriented position (brokerage, dispatch, etc.) assigning loads and booking trucks on load boardsExperience with using Mercury Gate, DAT, Carrier411 or any other TMS systemHigh school diploma or equivalent (Required)All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, status as a qualified individual with a disability, or Vietnam era or other protected veteran.
