Resource Planner

The Resource Planner is an established performer that works to facilitate and support the Distribution/Production/Sales Service Center functions and projects by managing inventory levels to meet budget requirements and support proper customer service levels for products. This role will work closely with the planning and operations teams to analyze data, generate insights, and contribute to the development of effective planning strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
- Work on projects and assignments as part of a large work team.
- Works directly with the sales team to develop stocking profiles for the sales service centers.
- Process returns for the sales service centers back to the regional distribution centers.
- Assist division management or project team with the development and formulation of strategic long range and short-range plans to build performance and direct process improvement, which demands predictability in forecasting. Collaborate with the sales team to identify forecast trends in the market.
- Regularly work with confidential data and is responsible for maintenance as well as handling of goods, tools, equipment, and valuable software.
- Monitor and follow up on production orders through supply chain to satisfy service demands. Review and process daily replenishment orders for the sales service centers.
- Work with planning team on stock outages for profile items.
- Support demand planning and the forecasting process by examining inventory levels, sales data, and demand for product to determine the company's optimal production levels and potential future sales.
- Help reduce excess inventory in the regional distribution centers and sales service center.
- May track critical vendor shipments and track critical production orders and vendor shipments to ensure customer delivery dates are being met.
- Conduct studies, prepare reports, and advise on feasibility, cost effectiveness and regulatory conformance, while utilizing knowledge of subject area, research techniques, and regulatory limitations.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 2-4 years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- SAP, PowerBI, Microsoft Excel & Access experience preferred.
Competencies:
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
