Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection, and ensuring the sales floor is well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for helping customers find what they need. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus. This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your sales skills and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries
  • Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
  • Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring shelves are stocked
  • Perform stocking duties to keep the sales floor neat and organized
  • Handle cash, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
  • Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
  • Support supervising staff in managing daily store operations when needed
  • Maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors

Requirements

  • Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or similar stores
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
  • Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or others) is advantageous
  • Experience in product demos, upselling, merchandising, and stock management preferred
  • Supervising experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills

This position provides an opportunity to grow within the retail industry while delivering outstanding service to our valued customers.

Pay: $ $26.63 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
