StratSafe is seeking an AWS Specialist to support a large-scale technology environment within the Public Sector (Washington DC based).
This role is responsible for designing, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining Amazon Connect and supporting AWS services that power a mission-critical contact center. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on cloud engineering experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Amazon Connect Design & Configuration:

  • Design, document, and implement contact flows within Amazon Connect.
  • Configure routing profiles, user profiles, and security settings.
  • Build and deploy chatbots and conversational AI integrations.

Metrics, Reporting & Dashboards:

  • Ensure all required KPIs are captured and measurable within AWS Connect.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Amazon Connect and Amazon QuickSight.
  • Monitor performance and generate insights using Amazon CloudWatch.

Outbound Campaigns & Surveys:

  • Configure and manage outbound voice campaigns and customer surveys.
  • Ensure compliance with call-time rules, caller ID practices, and regulatory requirements.

Integration & Optimization:

  • Integrate Amazon Connect with CRMs and other systems using AWS Lambda and related services.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency, reliability, and design of the cloud contact center.

Security, Compliance & Change Control:

  • Implement processes that align with District-wide security controls and OCIO requirements.
  • Apply proper configuration management and change control for production updates.

Troubleshooting & Support:

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve Amazon Connect and AWS-related issues.
  • Implement system improvements to enhance availability and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, configures, and optimizes Amazon Connect environments.
  • Maintains performance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting systems.
  • Builds integrations using AWS services such as Lambda, Lex, DynamoDB, and S3.
  • Ensures compliance with security controls and operational processes.
  • Provides technical expertise to cross-functional IT and business teams.

Minimum Education/Certification/Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated experience configuring and utilizing Amazon Connect's native reporting and dashboard capabilities for KPI management.
  • Scripting and integrating various AWS services, such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3, to build and enhance contact center functionalities.
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, etc.) preferred
