Sr Rust Developer

We are seeking an experienced Rust Developer to join our engineering team. This role requires strong skills in building and consuming APIs using Rust, along with a solid understanding of system-level programming and performance optimization. You will be responsible for designing and implementing reliable, high-performance backend services, and integrating with various internal and external APIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Rust
  • Build and consume RESTful and/or gRPC APIs to support business functionality
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
  • Optimize code for performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and other developers across the stack
  • Perform code reviews, write unit and integration tests
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues
  • Contribute to technical documentation and architectural decisions

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Rust with experience in building production-grade applications
  • Strong experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs (REST or gRPC)
  • Familiarity with web frameworks in Rust (e.g., Actix, Axum, Rocket)
  • Good understanding of HTTP, authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), and API security
  • Experience with asynchronous programming in Rust (e.g., Tokio)
  • Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases and query optimization
  • Version control using Git and working within collaborative environments
  • Ability to write well-tested and well-documented code
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detais

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Background in systems programming, blockchain, or high-throughput environments
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
