Essential Functions: The Director of Development and Major Gifts creates, implements and lead a strong major gifts program focused on supporting the organization's mission. Serves as the chief strategist for the development of an overarching fundraising program focused on individual and major gift prospects, foundations, corporations and other institutional donors and prospects. Works closely with the leadership to manage a team of development officers, support staff who will execute, support initiatives to promote and further the fundraising goals and priorities of the hospital.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years Direct fundraising or related experience, preferably in soliciting and securing major gifts for nonprofits.
- 2 years Of more of management or supervisory experience.
- Transferrable or related experience such as marketing, public relations, trust officer or sales will be considered.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
