The Impact You Will Make:

The Strategic Marketing Director is a key leadership role within the Aalberts integrated piping systems Americas marketing team. This person will shape and drive our strategic marketing engine—building deep market understanding, developing customer personas and segmentation models, elevating marketing analytics, and delivering actionable insights that shape our vertical market strategy. Partnering closely with Marketing, Sales, Strategy, and Product teams, this leader will develop playbooks, frameworks, and data-driven guidance that ensure Aalberts is positioned to win in our target verticals, with an immediate emphasis on data centers. They will also serve as the marketing team's expert in Salesforce, promotional analysis, and CRM-driven marketing intelligence.

A Typical Day:

  • Lead development and refinement of customer personas, segmentation frameworks, and value propositions across all priority verticals.
  • Deliver actionable marketing insights to guide strategic direction, product positioning, and promotional strategies.
  • Build and oversee market intelligence programs that monitor industry trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
  • Translate complex market data into clear guidance for sales, marketing, and executive leadership.
  • Partner with Sales, Strategy, and Product Management to design and maintain vertical market playbooks, starting with the data center segment.
  • Align messaging, tools, campaigns, and go-to-market strategies for each vertical.
  • Support the build-out of future vertical market teams, ensuring a consistent structure and strategy across markets.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the future Vertical Market Manager – Data Center.
  • Serve as the marketing lead for Salesforce, optimizing how marketing leverages the platform for segmentation, persona identification, win/loss insights, and campaign performance.
  • Analyze promotional activity and customer behavior to inform future marketing investments.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and IT to establish dashboards, reporting structures, and insight-driven workflows.
  • Ensure CRM data quality and build processes that enhance visibility into customer engagement and opportunity trends.
  • Work closely with the VP of Marketing to translate company objectives into long-term marketing strategies and measurable KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on customer feedback loops, VOC initiatives, and innovation opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales to ensure alignment on messaging, target accounts, vertical demand, and GTM strategies.
  • Support leadership with presentations, market briefs, and strategic updates.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Strategy, Analytics, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic marketing, vertical marketing, or market insights roles; preferably in manufacturing, industrial solutions, construction technologies, or B2B technical markets.
  • Strong background in CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in segmentation, persona development, analytics, and insight generation.
  • Ability to translate data into stories, strategies, and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience collaborating closely with sales, strategy, and product development teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Your Location:

This position is Hybrid at our Charlotte, NC location. Onsite days are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
