Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.

What You Will Do:

Act as a liaison for the credentialing process for both internal departments and external customers and providers

Coordinate, monitor, and prepare documentation for all practitioners both inpatient and/or outpatient services in all applicable health care settings

Actively demonstrates the organization's mission and core values, and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values

Establishes, maintains, and updates files, databases, records, and/or other documents

Support THPG providers with managed care credentialing requirements and requests

Special projects/other duties as assigned

What You Need:

Education

Bachelor's Degree - Preferred

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent - Required

Experience

2 years of credentialing coordination experience in Healthcare (specifically, Physician Practice or managed care) - Required

Licenses and Certifications

CPCS - Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist Upon Hire - Preferred

Education

Bachelor's Degree Pref And

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Req

Experience

2 Years 2 years of credentialing coordination experience in Healthcare (specifically, Physician Practice or managed care) Req

Licenses and Certifications

CPCS - Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist Upon Hire Pref

Skills

Experience with new installations and integrations of physician practices

Effective business acumen to develop positive relationships and strategies to perform effectively within the dynamics of a corporate organization

Familiar with NCQA and TJC standards and how to apply them

Incumbent must have extremely effective and polished communications skills - both written and oral.

Must have the capacity and availability to coordinate activities within physicians' schedules

Ability to work independently and prioritize work, perform thorough investigation and follow through on issue resolution with minimal management intervention in a high pace environment

Proficient in the use of Outlook, Skype, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint, MD Staff Credentialing Database (or alternate credentialing software) with basic computer and keyboarding skills
