This QC technician will be working out of our Brodheadsville, PA location however, will cover the entire BRC Fiber footprint.

The following duties will be required as part of our new fiber build:

  • Inspecting BRC aerial and underground construction of Fiber and Coax cable plans
  • Ensuring compliance to federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications
  • Identifying poor construction practices and safety concerns
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing new methods accordingly
  • Communicating quality or compliance concerns with urgency
  • Maintaining inspection reports
  • Working with in-house management and outside contractors
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience and/or training in cable related technical field
  • Established residency in Pennsylvania
  • Valid PA Driver's License and good driving record
  • Excellent knowledge of underground and aerial cable plant construction
  • Excellent Customer Relations Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Products- Excel, Word and Outlook Email
  • Excellent Communication Skills -Oral and Written
  • Ability to climb and work aloft poles, ladders or other support structures safely
  • Ability to work effectively both independently as well as part of a team to complete larger projects
  • Ability to perform tasks by deadlines and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 68lbs
  • Ability to withstand working outside in various conditions all year round
  • Ability to travel throughout our company service footprint as needed
