Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Team Member to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality cafe items and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our customers. You will work in a fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and a passion for food are essential. If you enjoy working in the food industry and have a knack for customer service, this position is perfect for you.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble sandwiches & espresso drinks according to customer specifications and company standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer orders efficiently.
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including upselling menu items when appropriate.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders during peak hours.
  • Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment in the café or kitchen setting.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and safety standards in the food industry.
  • Experience in cash handling and operating POS systems is preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Ability to sanitize work areas properly and adhere to hygiene practices consistently.
  • Previous experience in a café, grocery store, or similar food service setting is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
