Who We Are
Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America's drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.
As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We're hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for documenting, researching, and responding to technical requests from customers, prospective customers, and partners
- Provide remote and onsite technical support to Neros customers as needed
- Serve as internal resource to BD team on technical matters
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides to support customers and streamline technical operations
- Document and escalate technical insights and field observations to inform product improvements, working closely with Applications Engineering and Mission Success
- Serve as a subject matter expert on FPV systems to guide Mission Success and internal teams
- Support internal teams at customer-facing events and demonstrations, occasionally assisting in representing the product to external stakeholders
You should have the following
- 2-3 years in a technical or applications engineering role, preferably within the drone, robotics, or hardware startups
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate strongly preferred, with experience applying it in operational or customer-facing contexts
- Deep familiarity with FPV drone systems, including flight controllers, firmware, ESCs, radio and video transmitters, batteries, and ground stations
- Skilled in configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting FPV drones and related software (e.g., Betaflight, INAV, or similar platforms)
- Hands-on experience flying and maintaining FPV drones (manual/acro flight required)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics and work closely with end-users
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and solve technical issues efficiently
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently while taking direction from a more senior lead
US Salary Range
$90,000+ USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
We're an equal opportunity employer. We welcome all applicants without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
