JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Pool Operator (CPO) is a professional who maintains the safety and cleanliness of pools and spas. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pool Operator to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our swimming pool facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pool maintenance, water chemistry, and safety regulations, and will be responsible for providing a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for our guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
INSPECTIONS:
- Conduct routine inspections of pool equipment, including pumps, filters, and heaters, and perform maintenance repairs as needed.
MAINTNENACE/PROGRAMS:
- Comply with state and company safety regulations while maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
- Monitor and maintain pool water quality by performing regular chemical tests and adjusting chemical levels as necessary.
- Operating, repairing, and maintaining pool equipment, including pumps, filters, and heaters.
- Determining and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Keep detailed records of water quality tests, maintenance activities performed, and incidents.
CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT:
- Testing and adjusting chemical levels, such as chlorine and pH, to ensure the water is safe for swimmers.
CLEANING/SANITATION
- Maintain cleanliness of pool areas, including decks, restrooms, and adjacent facilities.
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and washing pools, decks, and other areas.
SAFETY:
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations and standards. To include proper signage and accessible safety equipment.
- Educate guests about pool rules and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety programs and procedures including emergency shutdown processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in a related field is a plus.
- Valid Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of pool water chemistry and maintenance practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina to perform maintenance tasks and respond to emergencies.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be well organized and flexible to meet time, priority and workload demands
- Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Must be willing to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holiday when needed for operation
- Completes other duties and tasks assigned by management
COMPENSATION AND WHAT LAZARUS ENTERTAINMENT WILL OFFER:
- $14-$17 an hour based on experience.
