Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings, and the ability to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and fellow servers.

Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
  • Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and assist guests with selections.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines during food handling and preparation.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food delivery.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
  • Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is advantageous.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
