Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals across various settings. Your expertise will empower patients to regain independence and improve their daily functioning through tailored therapeutic interventions. You'll work collaboratively with a dynamic team, providing compassionate care to diverse populations, including geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities.

What you'll do

  • Assess patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans that focus on improving activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Implement therapeutic interventions in various environments including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health settings.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide early intervention services for children with developmental delays and work closely with families to support their goals.
  • Engage in case management activities to coordinate care and ensure continuity throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Utilize your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform treatment strategies and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Document patient progress meticulously using medical terminology, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Offer guidance and support for discharge planning, preparing patients for successful transitions from acute care or inpatient settings.

Basic qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in accordance with state regulations.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to therapy practices.
  • At least 2 years of home health experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Background in geriatrics, or skilled nursing facility environments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of speech therapy principles is a plus for holistic patient care approaches.
