Systems Technician, Sylmar, CA
Shift: 1st, 5:00am-1:30pm, Monday-Friday, overtime as needed
Pay: $25.00 hourly

As a
Systems Technician
you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives

Primary Responsibilities

• Follow all PPG procedures and policies.
• Assure that the product being manufactured is of the highest quality.
• Actively reduce rework and scrap while increasing first pass yield.
• Use and interpret tools and engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, production parts, verbal and/or written instructions to accomplish assignment.
• Use all types of power and non-power equipment, both hand held and floor mounted to accomplish work assignments or operations.
• Must strive to maintain efficient team dynamics, and productively and positively work within a diverse team environment.
• Express and discuss job/task related concerns in a productive, professional manner.
• Meet daily production efficiency and ensure schedules are met utilizing TAKT time; make every effort to prevent rework or scrap; perform cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
• Understand inventory accuracy and how it impacts operations.
• Basic use of QAD labor system is a plus.
• Ergonomic awareness and responsibility is vital as the job will require, bending, stooping, walking, standing, rotation of head/neck, kneeling, reaching, sitting, climbing, balancing, flexion, extension, and the use of vibratory tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
• High School or GED required.
• Be able to obtain Security Clearance where required.
• Wear all required PPE necessary to complete work tasks.
• Computer experience.
