Electrical Capital Project Support Technician - Wilmington, NC Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Support equipment acquisition efforts in the electrical aspect for projects of varying scale, including manufacturing equipment upgrades and brownfield/greenfield installations.
  • Establish equipment specifications and requirements (configuration, quantity, etc.).
  • Provide technical support for Global Supply Management and equipment vendors throughout the competitive bid process (vendor identification, RFQ, vendor selection), and assist with issue resolution during the equipment build process.
  • Support team leaders in generating timelines for equipment delivery and incorporating them into the integrated project schedule.
  • Participate in deployment team planning activities.
  • Collaborate with other AMT groups, including Capital Deployment Project Teams, Development, Technology Platforms, and Cable Technology.
  • Coordinate factory acceptance testing (FAT).

Requirements

  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Navigational ability in AutoCAD, Vault, and Inventor.
  • 1+ years of experience supporting capital projects.
  • Ability to understand equipment specifications and identify alternate sources when necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical tools and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability to resolve challenges quickly.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Customer service oriented with strong communication, motivation, and positive attitude.

Education

  • AAS in Electrical Technology or BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

Desired Experience

  • 1+ years in a capital project environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
