We are seeking a General/Vascular Ultrasound Technologist for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As a General/Vascular Ultrasound Technologist (or Vascular Sonographer) you will perform diagnostic non-invasive vascular procedures on adult and geriatric patients with a high degree of quality as requested by the ordering physician following established policies and procedures. What you will do in this role:

• Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered including but not limited to collative study results, reason for the procedure, patient complaints/symptoms and history relating to the ability to withstand a vascular procedure
• Facilitate the vascular procedure by proper placement of the probe in accordance with the instructions in the department policy and procedure manual
• Assist, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring their modesty and physical safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and or devices needed
• Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of procedure area and equipment to prevent cross contamination of contagious diseases, and keep area stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications

• Associates degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Eligible for ARDMS registration; RVT preferred
• One to three years of experience preferred, preferably in an acute-care setting
