Human Technologies, Inc. (HTI) has an immediate opening for an experienced
Accountant / Office Manager
with an international manufacturing company at their new facility in Greenville, SC. This is an exciting opportunity to join a sustainable energy storage solutions manufacturer with a positive, team-oriented culture. As a key support position within a growing company, this role is designed to evolve alongside the organization, which will mean strong potential for growth and advancement.

  • Hourly pay range is
    $ $30.00 / hour
    (depending on experience and education)
  • This role can be
    either full-time
    (Mon-Fri 8am-4pm)
    or part-time
    (Mon-Fri 9am-3pm), depending on the selected candidate's availability and preference
  • Contract-to-hire
    , with the intention to hire this employee in a permanent capacity after approximately 3 to 6 months
  • This is a fully on-site role (not hybrid or remote)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have 3+ years of experience in a similar Accounting or Bookkeeping role, successfully handling the job duties listed below.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (or an Associate's degree + 5 years of experience).
  • Must have
    intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Excel (
    including formulas, charts/graphs, macros, formatting, etc. V-lookup and pivot table experience is a plus).
  • Must have a history of successfully and accurately handling Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general ledger, month-end close, bank reconciliations, journal entries, payroll support, and assisting with monthly/quarterly/yearly financial reporting.
  • Must have experience with
    QuickBooks
    and/or
    Xero
  • Must have 1+ year of experience with office administration job duties and the desire/ability to assist the Operations Manager and leadership team with general administrative support, scheduling, documentation, meeting/travel coordination, HR support, etc.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a small business and/or startup environment preferred.

Position Summary:

Responsible for general accounting duties, maintenance of the company's financial records, supporting day-to-day office operations, and providing administrative assistance to leadership. This role combines the functions of bookkeeping, office management, and administrative coordination to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Job Duties:

Accounting & Bookkeeping
(50%)

  • Create and maintain accurate and organized financial records, including general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and process accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor payments, deposits, invoices, and reconciliations ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Monitor budgets, track variances, and assist in developing/maintaining financial reports.
  • Support payroll processing and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Coordinate with external accountants for tax filings, audits, and related financial processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide timely financial insights and reporting to leadership.
  • Perform additional accounting or finance-related duties as needed.

Office Operations & Administration
(30%)

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure an efficient work environment.
  • Serve as a point of contact for office communications, scheduling, and general inquiries.
  • Coordinate office maintenance, repairs, and technology support as needed.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and office supply inventory, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and timely renewals.
  • Support leadership with administrative needs related to scheduling, documentation, and operational planning.
  • Maintain accurate internal records, shared files, and procedural documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes.
  • Perform general administrative tasks and assist with ad hoc projects as assigned.

Leadership & Team Support
(10%)

  • Assist with organizing team activities, recognition efforts, and engagement initiatives.
  • Support communication flow between leadership and staff to ensure timely company-wide initiatives or updates.
  • Support company leadership by ensuring smooth coordination of meetings, travel scheduling, priorities, and communications.
  • Perform additional leadership or administrative support duties as assigned.

People & HR Support
(10%)

  • Support basic HR-related processes in collaboration with leadership and external consultants.
  • Support regulatory compliance requirements and maintain confidentiality of employee and company information at all times.
  • As needed, assist with benefits enrollment and coordination, new hire onboarding, maintaining employee records, and other HR processes.
