The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for an Interactive Web Programming Specialist to work at Ft. Eisenhower, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Warfighter Readiness mission. An Interactive Web Programming Specialist designs, develops, and maintains interactive web applications and websites, ensuring functionality, performance, and user experience. They write code using various languages, integrate with databases and APIs, and collaborate with designers to create seamless experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing code for both front-end (client-side) and back-end (server-side) functionalities.
  • Building interactive web applications with features like user authentication, data processing, and dynamic content.
  • Interfacing with databases to store, retrieve, and manage data for web applications.
  • Thoroughly testing web applications to ensure they function correctly and identifying and fixing errors.
  • Optimizing web applications for speed, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Working with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure alignment and deliver successful web projects.
  • Maintaining clear and concise documentation for web applications and code.
  • Keeping up with the latest web technologies and programming practices through ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 4 or more years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience.  Additional directly related experience can offset the degree requirements.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret w/SCI clearance within 1 years from start date.
  • Strong Programming Skills: Proficiency in languages like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, PHP, or Ruby.
  • Experience with Web Development Frameworks: Knowledge of frameworks like , Angular, or Django.
  • Database Management: Understanding of database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Understanding of Web Security: Knowledge of web security best practices and vulnerabilities.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication skills to work with diverse teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring code is clean, maintainable, and meets industry standards.

Preferred Qualification

  • Active DoD Top Secret w/SCI security clearance
