They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced
Human Resources Manager
to join their team in Houston, TX.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial operations and recruiting, preferably within the
industrial, mining, or chemical processing sectors,
with a proven track record of managing HR functions in a fast-paced environment. This role will involve overseeing various HR initiatives, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for industrial operations.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Utilize various recruiting platforms and networking to build a diverse candidate pipeline.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting employee engagement and resolving conflicts.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and disciplinary actions as necessary.
Performance Management:
- Develop and oversee performance appraisal processes and support managers in setting performance goals.
- Provide training and guidance on performance management best practices.
- Assist in the development of employee development plans and career progression pathways.
Compliance and Policy Development:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
- Maintain employee records in accordance with legal requirements and internal policies.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and facilitate training programs for employees at all levels.
- Support leadership development initiatives to build a strong talent pipeline.
HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
- Prepare reports for senior management on HR activities, employee turnover, and recruitment effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on industrial operations and recruitment.
- Heavy industrial, mining, or chemical processing sector experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition and employee relations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in HRIS and recruitment software.
