Position Overview

The Fleet & Facilities Technician supports the daily operations of our Fleet and Facilities Department, ensuring that vehicles, equipment, and the shop itself remain in top condition. This hands-on position assists mechanics with small engine repairs, performs light facility maintenance, and helps keep the shop organized and running efficiently. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow within a professional landscape environment. Small engine repair experience is preferred but not required — we're willing to train the right individual.

Job Duties

Fleet & Equipment Support

• Assist mechanics and fleet staff with small engine repairs (mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, etc.)
• Perform basic preventative maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and visual inspections
• Help track, organize, and prepare equipment for repairs or field deployment

Shop & Facility Maintenance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and yard area
• Perform general building maintenance, including:
• Routine trash and recycling service
• Replacing light bulbs and air filters
• Touch-up painting, signage, and door repairs
• General upkeep of office and warehouse areas

Team Support & Communication

• Collaborate with the Fleet Manager and Mechanics to prioritize daily tasks
• Report equipment and facility issues promptly
• Follow all safety policies and company procedures

Qualifications

• General experience with small engines or mechanical work (landscaping, construction, or related industries)
• Valid Texas Driver's License (must be 21 years or older to operate company vehicles)
• Strong attendance, reliability, and punctuality
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
