We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expediter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that orders are prepared efficiently and accurately, facilitating communication between the kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of food service operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery to guests.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to prioritize orders and manage timing for food preparation.
• Monitor the quality and presentation of dishes before they leave the kitchen, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
• Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed, contributing to a smooth operation during peak hours.
• Support bussing and serving staff by providing assistance during busy periods, enhancing overall customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and service areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive dining experience for guests.

Skills

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate effective interaction between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations is essential.
• Experience in culinary roles, including cooking, food preparation, or banquet services is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
