Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver - Independent Contractor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Sprinter Van or similar vehicle for deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
  • Navigate assigned routes efficiently, optimizing delivery times while maintaining quality service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any issues encountered during transport.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate pickups and drop-offs effectively.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations is preferred.
  • Commercial driving experience with a valid driver's license is essential.
  • Familiarity with Sprinter Vans and delivery driver responsibilities is an advantage.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as required.
  • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of route driving techniques to ensure efficient navigation and delivery processes.
