Benefits:

  • $24.00/hour (unarmed) after completing the initial training requirement. (During the week-long academy, compensation will be at minimum wage.)

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
  • Conduct regular patrols
  • Monitor activities
  • Surveillance
  • Access Control
  • Safety escorts
  • Using provided communication devices
  • Represent SSNW's brand
  • Properly wear the issued uniform
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
  • Complete Incident Reports
  • Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services
  • Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
  • Other duties as described in the Post Orders

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting.
  • Must have Graveyard/ Weekend availability 
  • Reliable transportation
  • Honesty and Integrity
  • Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays
  • Must hold a Washington State Unarmed Security Guard License
  • Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations

Education and Experience:

  • Security Officer Experience - 1 year
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Prior Public Safety and/or Military experience preferred
  • TWIC card required
  • Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols
  • Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: From $24.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • King County, WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

  • unarmed/armed security guard license (Preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Night Shift (Required)
  • Overnight Shift (Required)
  • Weekends (Required)
