Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diamond Saw Operator with a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality and safety. This role involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of diamond saw equipment, as well as performing inspections and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation & Maintenance
  • Set up and operate diamond saw machines according to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM), including cleaning, greasing, and replacing wires, wheels, and other parts as needed.
  • Maintain a consistent and proper flow of materials through the production area.
Inspection & Quality Control
  • Conduct incoming inspections of tools against print and specification requirements.
  • Perform final inspections and assist with tool assembly.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to verify product dimensions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Production Support
  • Track and maintain all necessary production paperwork.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of material shortages.
  • Assist in brazing tools when required.
  • Participate actively in production meetings and offer guidance on complex issues.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  • Serve as the go-to resource for resolving complicated operational issues.
  • Support and uphold company policies, safety practices, and ethical guidelines.
  • Lead by example in all work activities and uphold 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) standards for housekeeping and organization.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience operating and maintaining diamond saw equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of general manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to learn and execute complex machine setups.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
