Job Summary:As the General Manager of Baker's Boots, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our footwear retail business. You will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure the efficient operation of our stores. You will lead and inspire a team of dedicated employees, manage inventory, and maintain a strong presence in the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:Provide strong leadership and guidance to store managers and staff.

Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team that delivers exceptional customer service.

Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.

Sales and Revenue Growth:Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.

Implement effective pricing and promotional strategies.

Customer Experience:Ensure that all customers receive a positive and memorable shopping experience.

Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.

Implement customer feedback initiatives to improve service and product offerings.

Inventory Management:Monitor and control inventory levels to optimize stock turnover and minimize losses.

Coordinate inventory replenishment and ensure accurate stock levels at all times.

Visual Merchandising:Oversee the layout and presentation of merchandise to create an attractive shopping environment.

Implement visual merchandising standards to showcase products effectively.

Financial Management:Develop and manage budgets, including expenses and operational costs.

Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

Compliance and Operations:Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and security standards.

Work closely with the ownership to handle staffing and employee relations matters.

Community Engagement:Establish and maintain positive relationships with the local community.

Participate in local events and initiatives to promote the brand and build customer loyalty.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role in the retail industry, preferably in footwear.
• Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and sales strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Results-oriented and customer-focused.
• Proficient in using retail management software and Microsoft Office suite.
