Overview of the Position
Based in Sunnyvale, CA, this role will report directly to the Vice President of Human Resources for the Platform Systems Division. The HR Manager is an integral member of the leadership team for our client's switching business. The role will work closely with the SVPs and their direct reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing successful talent and leadership programs, organizational development/effectiveness strategies, employee engagement, company-wide HR initiatives. This is a high impact position where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to affect significant positive leadership growth and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
Strategy and organizational effectiveness
This position partners with the senior leaders to diagnose the global talent implications within the business units and functional organizations.
Leadership Effectiveness
Partners with Learning and Organizational Development team to provide focus and appropriate resources for the leadership needs. Initiatives include on-boarding newly hired or promoted senior leaders and developing bench strength for succession and talent management.
HR Functional Effectiveness
Responsible for the successful implementation of the processes, frameworks and tools in support of the business needs in the areas of staffing and university relations, career and leadership development, compensation, performance management, employee development and talent (retention and attrition) management.
Employee Resource Management
Partners with business leaders to create high performing organizations with a focus on employee engagement and team effectiveness
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business and human resources preferred
A minimum of 8 years related experience
Experience and credibility as a business partner in an environment where the ability to influence and build relationships is critical
Demonstrated ability to provide practical, solution-driven initiatives and human resource processes
Credibility as a trusted advisor and confidant to senior management
Knowledge of organizational development and performance management techniques and models
Strong business acumen and project management skills
Successful teaming with colleagues with a strong results orientation
Highly effective communicator
A high energy individual capable of taking control of their responsibilities and establishing him/herself as a credible strategic business partner
