Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This position is essential in delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every dish meets our fine dining standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and experience in meal preparation, particularly within a restaurant or dietary department setting.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in meal preparation for special dietary needs, ensuring compliance with food handling regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage.
  • Utilize various kitchen tools and equipment safely, including knives and cooking appliances.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food service and handling.
  • Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant or similar culinary environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
