Job Description

As a Security Officer - Screening Specialist in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech and media location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible. Your role involves monitoring access points, assisting with badge checks, and delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification, checking credentials, and monitoring access points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or vendors while maintaining a visible security-related presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report any unusual observations.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Collaborate with site management and/or law enforcement as needed during emergencies or incidents.
• Maintain awareness of site-specific procedures, policies, and technology requirements relevant to the Tech/Media/Telecom environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
