Painter/Groundskeeper

First Resource Management Company is seeking an experienced Painter / Groundskeeper to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performing painting of vacant and occupied apartments and common areas. Prime, sand, seal, patch and paint surfaces.
• Exterior and interior painting, including minor repairs and surface preparation, patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
• Work from ladder, erects scaffolding to reach high ceilings or walls as needed to complete required painting. Moves furniture and equipment as necessary
• Groundskeeper duties include custodial functions; cleaning of common areas, as cleaning windows, walls, floors, stairwells, hallways, laundry rooms, elevators, carpets, emptying trash cans, cleaning doors, changing light bulbs in common areas and cleaning light fixtures. Assisting with cleaning and preparing vacant apartments for re-rental.
• Cleaning of grounds, including trash pickup, blowing property, weed whacking, lawn mowing, weeding and trimming shrubs, raking leaves, clearing brush, cleaning and maintaining walkways and driveways.
• Must be available to respond after-hours / weekends / holidays for Snow removal from walkways and driveways, spreading sand and salt where necessary.

Qualifications:

• General knowledge of and work experience painting and general repairs; experience in operating hand and power tools; ability to lift/move heavy objects and interact with residents in a responsive and responsible manner.
• Position requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting, moving, carrying (light to heavy weight material, appliances, equipment), climbing ladders/stairs, and walking on rooftops.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors which may include changing weather conditions, including but not limited to, excessive heat/cold, humidity/dampness, as well as extreme weather conditions such as sleet, snow, rain, wind, etc.
• Ability to shovel snow and perform yard maintenance such as raking leaves, pruning bushes, and lifting appliances, equipment, and building materials up to 60 pounds required.
