Primary Function of Position
The Regional Sales Director is a senior commercial leader responsible for driving regional revenue growth, building and leading a high-performing sales team, and executing ENvue's national expansion strategy at the regional level.
This role requires a strong commercial mindset, proven leadership experience, and deep knowledge of selling capital and disposable medical devices into acute care hospitals. The Regional Sales Director will partner closely with marketing, clinical education, and operations to ensure exceptional execution in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with ENvue's national commercial goals.
- Recruit, hire, train, and lead a team of high-performing Sales Representatives and Account Executives.
- Own and deliver the regional revenue quota, managing both capital equipment and recurring disposables.
- Drive territory planning, forecasting, and pipeline management through the CRM system.
- Coach and mentor team members to strengthen clinical selling skills, negotiation, and account strategy.
- Actively participate in strategic deals and negotiations with major hospital systems and IDNs.
- Partner with Clinical Training and Technical Support teams to ensure smooth onboarding and strong clinical adoption.
- Represent ENvue Medical at regional trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders including nurses, dietitians, ICU teams, supply chain leaders, and value analysis committees.
- Provide structured market intelligence and customer insights to inform commercial strategy.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proven track record of leading a successful medtech sales team in the acute care environment.
- Strong hunter and strategist - capable of opening new hospital systems and expanding existing accounts.
- Experience managing capital equipment and recurring disposables sales cycles.
- Expertise in hospital purchasing pathways, budgeting cycles, and value analysis processes.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Strong forecasting, territory planning, and CRM discipline.
- Ability to influence clinical and administrative decision makers at multiple levels.
- Deep understanding of GPOs, IDNs, and hospital contracting structures.
- High accountability and performance orientation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field required.
- Minimum 8–12 years of medical device sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in leading a sales team to exceed quota in the acute care setting.
- Experience selling to ICU, critical care, or nutrition support teams preferred.
- Experience managing GPO/IDN agreements strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Approximately 50% travel required, including day trips and overnight stays.
- Frequent visits to hospital environments where ENvue systems are installed.
- Ability to transport demonstration equipment as needed.
- Flexible schedule based on hospital and customer availability.
