Job Description: Associate/Senior Associate – Private Equity

Location: New York (On-site,5 days)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Associate with approximately 1-5 years of experience in private equity fund investments. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the full investment lifecycle, including fund sourcing, due diligence, and investment committee presentations. The role also includes assisting in the monitoring and management of private equity FoFs, coordinating with external advisors. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for working effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fund Sourcing& Pipeline Listing

2. Identify prospective general partners (GPs) and their private equity funds for potential investments, leveraging proprietary sources, sub-advisors' recommendations, and external databases.

3. Engage directly with GPs and placement agents to obtain fund updates and cultivate relationships with them (including with existing investee GPs via regular follow-up meetings and annual general meetings).

4. Identify and include attractive prospective investment funds in the pipeline list, prepare brief summaries, and share with internal team members.

5. Fund Investment Due Diligence & Execution

6. Conduct comprehensive due diligence on private equity fund managers, including strategy evaluation, track record analysis, organizational structure, and alignment of interests.

7. Analyze fund terms, legal documentation, and fee structures, occasionally in collaboration with sub- advisors and external legal counsels.
8. Coordinate with sub-advisors and other external advisors (e.g., consultants, legal counsel, tax advisors) to validate assumptions and enhance investment decision-making.

9. Prepare investment recommendation materials and support the execution of subscription documents and closing processes.

10. Investment Committee (IC) Support

11. Prepare detailed presentation materials for IC meetings.

12. Present investment opportunities to the decision-maker and respond to questions raised by committee members during the IC process with clarity and professionalism.

13. Track IC feedback provided through internalchannels and ensurefollow-up actions are completed in a timely manner.

14. Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting

15. Monitor ongoing performance of fund investments, including capital calls, distributions, NAV updates, and quarterly reports.

16. Maintain and update portfolio tracking tools and databases to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
17. Identify and escalate performance deviations, operational issues, or material changes in fund strategies.
18. Assist in preparing periodic portfolio reviews for senior management and stakeholders.

19. Represent in Limited Partnership Advisory Committee (LPAC).

20. Investor Presentation & Reporting

21. Prepare professional presentation materials for investor meetings, including portfolio updates, performance summaries, and information on prospective investments.

22. Support investor relations by responding to inquiries and providing timelyupdates on fund performance and market developments.
23. Coordinate with senior management to ensure consistency and accuracy in investor communications.

24. Assist in the development of investor reports and marketing materials.

25. Fund of Funds operation management

26. Monitor and forecast fund cash flows (capital calls, distributions, fees).

27. Coordinate capital activities with fund administrator.
28. Process investor contributions and distributions.
29. Review NAVs, financial statements, and capital account reports.
30. Coordinate activities related to amendments of fund agreements.
31. Reconcile fund records and support audits and tax filings.

32. Ensure compliance with fund documents and regulatory requirements.

33. Strategy Development

34. Organize and participate in regular pipeline meetings to discuss potential investment opportunities.

35. Document meeting outcomes and follow-up on action items with relevant stakeholders.
36. Collaborate with internal teams and sub-advisors to evaluate and refine investment strategies based on market trends and portfolio objectives.

37. Conduct research and analysis to support strategic planning.

38. Internal Coordination & External Communication

39. Work closely with internal / external investment, legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of investment processes.

40. Coordinate with sub-advisors and other external advisors to gather intelligence, validate assumptions, and support investment decisions.
41. Maintain organized documentation and communication records for audit and compliance purposes.
42. Assist Japanese expatriates with English communication to support business operations and promote alignment on investment activities.

The above responsibilities, within the overall investment process, should be interpreted as applicable to GPs, individual funds, and co-investments opportunities, and similar investment targets, as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Education &Experience

• Bachelor'sdegree in Finance, Economics, or a related field;MBA or Master's degree preferred.
• Approximately 1-5 years of experience in private equity fund investment.
• Experience in portfolio management of private equity funds or fund management is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or similar are preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and investment analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with private equity markets and fund structures.

Compensation:

The expected annual base salary for this position ranges from
$100,000 to $130,000
Itis not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus based on qualitative and quantitative performance factors.
