Part-time Instructor Job Description

GatorCPR: The Center for CPR and CNA Training provides American Heart Association and American Safety and Health Institute certification training to the North Central Florida Community. GatorCPR offers lay-rescuer CPR, BLS, ACLS and PALS certification training, a 22-hour CNA Prep course and background checks. GatorCPR operates out of Gainesville, FL and Ocala, FL under the DBA Beeline Medical Training

A part-time instructor will teach CNA, BLS and CPR classes.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach the Night Owl CNA Course every Monday-Thursday night
  • Teach a minimum of 2 BLS classes per month
  • Confirm CNA Instructor Schedule 3 months in advance
  • Prepare the CNA Classroom for Prometric Testing as needed
  • Process Level II background checks for CNA students and GatorCPR clients
  • Complete and submit CNA instructor checklist for each class
  • Attend and contribute to Quarterly Instructor Meetings
  • Attend quarterly Hiring Fairs, inviting past students to attend
  • Attend annual retraining/review of policies and procedures

While the responsibilities include teaching CNA and CPR classes, we will train the right candidate so clinical experience is not necessary. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Confidently speaks in front of small groups, providing clear concise instruction
  • Provides, accepts, and applies constructive feedback to students and coworkers
  • Collaborates effectively with peers
  • Presents and conducts themselves in a professional manner
  • Efficiently and respectfully works with a diverse population
  • Ability to follow through with commitments, projects, etc.
  • Can work well independently
  • Strong time management skills

Time Commitment:

Monday-Thursday, 4:30-10:30PM

2 AHA BLS classes per month (approx. 3-4 hour shift, varying start times and dates)

Compensation:

$16/hr during training

$18/hr after training is complete

Eligible for additional raises upon performance
