Duties

  • Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision
  • Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort
  • Support physicians during procedures by handing instruments, managing supplies, or performing basic clinical tasks like medication administration under supervision
  • Conduct basic diagnostic procedures including X-ray imaging or specimen collection when required
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions using medical terminology and ICD coding for diagnoses and treatments
  • Support hospital medicine units or outpatient clinics by managing appointment schedules, answering patient inquiries, and providing exceptional patient service

Experience

  • Prior experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience with EHR systems and familiarity with medical administrative support functions
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately assist in clinical tasks
  • Experience working in inpatient or outpatient environments within Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to perform intake assessments, vital signs collection, medication administration, and basic X-ray procedures
  • Exposure to specialized units such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics clinics, or OR (Operating Room) settings enhances your versatility
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) o
