We are looking for a caring, playful, and reliable Infant Daycare Teacher to join our small home daycare team. This role is perfect for someone who loves nurturing babies, creating meaningful early learning experiences, and maintaining a warm, family-style environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, loving care for infants, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and engaging in age-appropriate play.
- Cooking and serving breakfast, lunch and snack time
- Help with potty training and helping to clean any accidents.
- Leading and participating in story time, ABC time, creating and setting up arts and crafts, education on colors, shapes, and numbers.
- Create a safe, clean, and cozy environment that supports bonding, sensory exploration, tummy time, and early developmental milestones.
- Maintain consistent routines for feeding, naps, and play that follow each child's individual needs and parent preferences.
- Interact with infants in a playful and nurturing way—singing songs, reading books, encouraging early communication, and supporting motor development.
- Ensure constant supervision and prioritize safety during all daily activities.
- Communicate with parents daily about their child's routines, milestones, moods, and any concerns.
- Keep detailed notes on infant bottles, diapers, naps, and developmental progress.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, including sanitizing toys, surfaces, cribs, and feeding areas throughout the day.
- Support daily housekeeping tasks such as washing bottles, tidying play spaces, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, laundering infant linens, and keeping the environment organized.
- Follow all home daycare policies, state licensing rules, and health/safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience caring for infants in a daycare, nanny, or home-based childcare setting.
- Warm, gentle, and patient caregiving approach.
- Comfortable with cleaning duties and maintaining a sanitary environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with families.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Mandated reporter training.
- TB test.
- Knowledge of safe sleep practices and infant development is a strong plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27 – 30 per week
