Located just a short walk from Yale University, the new Cambria Hotel New Haven University Area is scheduled to open in September 2022. We have an immediate opening for an experienced individual to join us on our hotel leadership team as the Accounting Manager and be part of the opening of the hotel. Here is what we offer to all of our associates:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment. Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
    1. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
    1. Strip and make beds, and change bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
    1. Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
    1. Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.
    1. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in the guest room.
    1. Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect the room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion of the room.
    1. Assist in the inspection of cleaned guest rooms, turndown service, public areas, and the back of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, health/sanitation standards, and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
    1. Assists with assignments of special requests, issuance of supplies to staff, and logs items into the Lost & Found log as needed.
    1. Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
    1. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
    1. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
