LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated
Retail Development -- Sales Manager
to join their team. This is a unique chance to join a mission-driven company that is transforming its category with fresh, nutritious, and convenient products. The brand has recently launched its retail division and is now seeking a strategic sales professional to accelerate growth, secure new placements, and expand distribution across brick and mortar channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead account management and broker relationships to expand retail distribution and achieve growth targets.
- Develop and execute channel-specific sales and promotional strategies aligned with brand and margin objectives.
- Create compelling sales presentations, new item forms, and annual planning decks for retail buyers.
- Analyze sales performance, velocity, and competitive trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance to ensure retail success.
- Manage inventory levels and shipments, ensuring timely and complete deliveries across channels.
- Oversee trade budgets, negotiate retailer terms, and secure favorable promotional structures.
- Represent the brand with excellence at customer meetings, category reviews, and industry events.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years of direct sales management experience, within CPG or food & beverage at an emerging growth company.
- Proven track record of opening new doors and scaling retail distribution.
- Strategic seller focused on building lasting partnerships, not just chasing placements.
- Comfortable managing brokers and key accounts across both natural and conventional channels.
- Strong understanding of P&L impact, trade spend, and margin structures; data-driven decision maker.
- Exceptional storyteller and negotiator, confident presenting to buyers and building relationships at all levels.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Compensation Range:
$100,000 - $150,000 + commission
