Veterinary Technician ER/ICU

VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our growing ER / ICU care team full time  Credentialed Veterinary Technicians, and Experienced Veterinary assistants welcome to apply.

ER / ICU Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:

• Anesthesia procedural monitoring
• Full Technician Skill Utilization
• Collecting patient histories & physical exams
• Medication refills, and Pet parent communication
• Proficient in medical calculations
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients

Potential Schedule: Full-time (4) 10's, including 1 weekday. (9a/10a - 7p/8p)

Compensation: $ / hour dependent on experience, skill set, and licensure status (CVT, VTS, CVPM

We have the ability to support the most advanced cases with cutting-edge technology utilizing our CT, and multiple specialty departments such as Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, I-131 and more  We support full technician skill utilization and are dedicated to provide gold standard medicine and exceptional patient care.  Our outstanding medicine is supported by a VTS in (ECC), and a VTS in (SAIM) and we continue to support a hospital culture of growth and development for all levels of technician.
