The Marketing Coordinator at the Whitewater Center (Whitewater) executes the communication of the Whitewater brand across a variety of marketing channels. This position will coordinate the distribution, execution, and analysis of Whitewater's various marketing campaigns with a specific focus on owned (digital and physical), paid, and earned channels. The Marketing Coordinator is an on-site, full-time, benefits eligible position and reports to the Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan, manage, and execute Whitewater's marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in developing integrated marketing plans for campaigns, coordinating activities across multiple consumer touchpoints, including media, digital, social, on-location, and event marketing. 
  • Partner with Whitewater teams to tailor marketing plans to meet each team's specific needs, maximizing campaign impact.
  • Support the development of campaign briefs, including external and internal research presentations, document creation, and scheduling and coordination of meetings and project milestones. 
  • Support ongoing communication with brand partners and external vendor projects. 
  • Analyze campaign performance across channels to ensure goals and KPI's are met. 
  • Coordinate all paid advertising placements for the Whitewater brand.
  • Identify, develop, and execute earned media opportunities with digital platforms, print publications, tourism entities, social media influencers, and outdoor lifestyle brands. 
  • Manage Whitewater's social and community presence on various platforms. 
  • Coordinate all aspects of third-party media, photography, and film coverage of Whitewater locations and programming. 
  • Proactively research paid and earned media trends across a variety of platforms to stay current with industry standards. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the outdoor industry and Whitewater experiences to ensure marketing efforts align with the outdoor lifestyle and Whitewater brand. 
  • Create trackable and data driven recaps and reports for all marketing efforts. 
  • Provide support for other marketing projects including programming, grassroots and community marketing efforts, product naming, photo/video shoot coordination.
  • Lead the planning and execution of marketing deliverables and campaigns to ensure on-time execution and alignment with brand standards across all paid and organic communications channels.  
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to fulfill marketing collateral and deliverables for onsite and geographic target markets, including print media, brochures, posters, banners, and books.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years relevant marketing experience.
  • Photography and/or videography experience is a plus. 
  • Intellectual curiosity and strong critical analysis skills.
  • Efficient and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during Whitewater events as needed.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather and environmental conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds. 
  • Must be able to bend, stand, lean, and kneel on a regular basis and for sustained periods of time.
  • Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.
  • Must be able to work in shared spaces with other employees and customers.
  • All positions at Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.
