Wages: Starting at $22/hour, depending on experience and endorsements

Job Summary:

The driver will operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods safely and efficiently across designated routes within the Wisconsin Region. This role ensures timely deliveries while adhering to all federal, state, and company regulations. This position requires some flexibility in hours and ability to adapt to changing situations. Our drivers are home each evening

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Transportation and Delivery:
  • Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles to transport goods to customers.
  • Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while adhering to scheduled routes.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Comply with all DOT regulations, including HOS requirements.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to company safety protocols.
  • Documentations:
  • Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork, including delivery receipts, logs, and inspection reports.
  • Use ELDs to track hours and vehicle usage.
  • Customer Service:
  • Interact professionally with customers, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
  • Address any delivery-related issues promptly and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to Dispatch.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of professional truck driving educational program.
  • Licensing:
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
    • No more than 1 moving violation in the past year, or 3 in the past 3 years. Must not have any DUI/DWI or reckless driving citations in the past 5 years.
  • Experience:
  • 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles preferred.
  • Familiarity with regional routes and roadways.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to operate GPS and other navigation tools
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work extended hours, and potential weekend shifts during high operational volume and end of quarters.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Must be able to get in and out of tractor cab easily.
  • Regularly required to walk, sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, and use feet to operate tractor.
  • Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
