Essential Functions and Job Duties

• Processes patients for registration and check-in for diagnostic testing.

• Organizes and processes patient paperwork (i.e.; registration forms, patient orders, MRI screening forms, consent forms).

• Receives and directs telephone calls.

• Prioritizes time so that next day's/shift's workload is organized; updates schedules.

• Maintains good relationships with patients and other employees.

• Remains flexible in accepting rotating schedules.

• Performs other duties as assigned. Is authorized to access contrast media.

Physical Demands

• Some knowledge of medical terminology; knowledge of filing systems; minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute.

Education and/or Other Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent. One or two years of clerical experience in scheduling and communications preferred.
