Dental Lifeline Network (DLN) is seeking applicants for a full-time (40 hours/week) Donated Dental Services (DDS) Program and Volunteer Coordinator.

This is an office, phone-based position located in Atlanta, GA.

DLN is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to change the lives of America's most vulnerable adults through our coordinated system of care. We accomplish our mission by developing and coordinating collaborative relationships to provide life-changing dental care.

You will be responsible for coordinating care and building and retaining the volunteer base that supports the state DDS program in its ability to assist patients in need.

The Program and Volunteer Coordinator will have two primary job functions. You will provide case management for individuals in our program and work closely with volunteer dentists to facilitate access to care. You will also evaluate whether new applicants are eligible for care, assist them in obtaining the necessary care, coordinate their ongoing care, and collaborate with volunteer dentists who provide this care.

The second job function will be to recruit and retain volunteer dentists and labs, collaborating with other departments to analyze and develop recruitment materials to increase awareness of DLN programs. You will also work with the state dental association and other dental groups to promote programs, maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external constituent groups to energize and support their efforts.

Requirements

  • An innovative thinker who wants to learn and grow with the program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including presenting to small and large groups.
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Proficiency in different computer programs, such as Microsoft Office products in Windows operating systems.
  • Patience and compassion.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or other human services field.
  • Experience with Case Management.
  • Experience in Volunteer recruitment and engagement.

Compensation: This position starts at $ 20.25/hour, depending on experience.
