Job Description

As a Security Professional - Telecom Badge Specialist in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through excellent customer service and clear communication. You'll play a key role in managing access points and supporting alarm panel operations. What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures at a technology-driven location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting visitors with directions and information while maintaining security-related protocols.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to support a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
