Legal Assistant/Paralegal

We are currently looking for a full-time, in-person paralegal to support our attorneys in all aspects of their work. This would involve the following duties for a paralegal:
File management, scheduling, creating, editing, and processing legal documents with an emphasis on knowledge of audio and visual technology used in Court settings.
The LaBore, Giuliani & Shackleford law firm was founded more than 40 years ago by Lee L. LaBore. Currently, we have 3 partners along with a number of support staff. Since its inception, the firm has concentrated its efforts on representing individuals and companies sued for damages in civil lawsuits. Over the years, the firm has defended thousands of individuals in this capacity. We have an experienced staff of attorneys and legal assistants combining over 300 years of practice helping our clients. We take this responsibility seriously and make every effort to provide the best representation possible for our clients.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Hours: Monday – Friday: 37.5 hours/week – flexible schedule.

Qualifications: High school degree or equivalent; some college preferred. Experience working in civil litigation is a must together with a working knowledge of audio and visual technology used in Court settings. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience working with Minnesota Courts' e-filing system, experience working with ProLaw is a plus. Must have strong writing and communication skills, the ability to prioritize and manage deadlines, and the ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with others in person, over the phone, and in writing. This includes with attorneys, clients, courts, and other law firms.
